The refurbishment project by The Church House Development Committee completed in
2016 extended over eight years, and has created a central heritage site to provide
modern facilities for the Alcester community. It has revealed timber frames of what
may have been two 15th century houses, a grand dwelling house with a more utilitarian
one behind it, subsequently joined together. By the end of 19th Century the front
had become the larger of two cottages with the back converted for stables. Just over
a century later the recent work has combined the property into one again, fitting
it with 21st century facilities. More details are on the History page. To inspect
the timber frames please ring 01789 763509.
